BORN LUCKY — PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what data the Born Lucky game (“the Game”), developed by FANGLAB PTE. LTD. (“FangLab”, “we”, “us”), collects, why, and what your choices are. We keep it deliberately plain: we collect what the Game needs to run and nothing we can avoid. We never sell your data. The Game shows no advertisements and reads no advertising identifier.
1. What we collect
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| An anonymous player identifier | Created automatically on first launch | To operate your account — your coins and chips, your level, your lives and your family's records |
| The names you give a character or a child, and the face you choose | When you type or pick them | To tell the story of that life. They are part of your account and are shown only to you — unless you choose to share a life card or code, which carries the name and the life's summary to whoever you send it to |
| Google account email and name, or Apple ID email and name | Only if you choose to link a Google or Apple account | To let you keep your profile across devices. Apple's Hide My Email is honoured |
| Gameplay records (the years you play, the choices you make, casino bets and outcomes, every coin and chip balance change, and counts of how often a life card is shared or a friend's code is used) | While you play | To run a fair, server-decided game, to detect abuse and to improve the Game — every coin and chip movement is logged to protect your balance |
| Purchase records (product, time, order state — never card details) | When you buy chips | To deliver purchases, handle refunds and keep required financial records. Payment itself is handled by Google Play or the App Store |
| Whether your first life began from a friend's life code, and whether the code came by a link or was typed — never whose code it was | Once, when that life begins | To count how many players a shared life brings, and whether they stay — our own count, never shared and never used to track you |
| The platform your account first played on (iOS or Android) | Once, when you pass the age check | To count our players by platform — our own count, never shared and never used to track you |
| A Firebase installation identifier and an app-integrity attestation | While you play | To keep the game servers reachable only by genuine installs of the Game (Firebase App Check) and to detect abuse |
| A start-up report: the Game's version, whether the phone runs iOS or Android, how long each start-up step took, and short error codes | When the Game opens on a phone for the first time, and whenever a start-up is slow or fails | To find and fix slow or failed start-ups. It carries your anonymous player identifier and is never shared |
We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, or anything from outside the Game.
2. Who processes it
The Game runs on established platforms that process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (authentication, database, game servers, app integrity) — game data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States (Firebase privacy);
- Google Play and the Apple App Store (payments and app distribution);
- RevenueCat (purchase state management — privacy).
Beyond these, we share data with no one, unless the law requires it.
On iPhone, if you are signed in to Apple Game Center, the Game reports the achievements a life earns to your Game Center account, under Apple’s privacy policy. The Game reads nothing back from Game Center: no player ID, name or friends list ever reaches us.
3. How long we keep it
Account and gameplay data are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, they are permanently deleted — your coins and chips, your lives and your family’s records with them. Purchase and refund audit records are retained afterwards only as required for financial record-keeping and fraud prevention, disconnected from any playable account.
Start-up reports are not kept with your account. They stay in our server logs for 30 days and are then deleted automatically.
4. Your choices and rights
- Delete everything: in-app (the account icon on the life hub → Delete account) or via our deletion page — no app required.
- Start fresh: sign out in-app at any time to play on a new guest profile; a linked profile stays saved for whenever you sign back in.
- Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, the CCPA and the Australian Privacy Principles), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data — contact us and we will honour them.
5. Children
The Game is rated for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Game outcomes and balances live only on our servers — the app cannot change them — and every balance movement is written to an append-only audit log.
7. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will signpost it in the Game or on this page before the change takes effect.
